I didn’t want to reblog the big long post about tipping people, but generally if I’m somewhere and I don’t tip it’s not me being an…

In America you tip 20% for good/great service, 15% for average service, 10% if you fail at basic human decency, and if you don’t tip or leave religious paraphernalia, fliers, passive aggressive notes at the table instead, you will have horrible karma for the rest of your miserable pathetic life. If you can’t afford to tip properly, you shouldn’t be eating out.

This is just my opinion of course, as someone that used to work in food service.

I always tip 20% no matter how good or bad. You put up with a lot of shit being a server. I was never one but my Mom did it to support her Mom and sister…I’m a bit of a bleeding-heart lol

To be honest, I do too! Also a lot of my friends are in the service industry as well, and I know the shit they have to go through. But I realize that not everyone is like that, unfortunately.

Also, if you are a regular of a bar or restaurant, the employees do recognize you and know you, and if you’re a difficult customer or bad tipper, trust me, they probably already have a nickname for you and dread every time you come in. HAVE A NICE DAY.
